Standoff fires for Fidele at Flemington

Kooringal Stud’s outstanding broodmare Fidele has struck gold again.

Fidele’s daughter Standoff  recorded her second metropolitan win when she bolted in over 1400 metres at Flemington on Saturday (May 22).

Standoff (pictured winning earlier in her career) follows in the footsteps of her older siblings Fidelia, Roundabout and Little Indian, who were all Melbourne winners.

Fidelia’s class is reflected by her record of five wins – along with seven placings at Group 2 and Group 3 level – for more than $400,000 in prizemoney.

Fidele has produced seven winners from eight to race, while Jay Peak Kitten has been placed on three occasions this season as a juvenile.

The Encosta De Lago mare is in foal to Kooringal’s dual Group 1 winning stallion Prized Icon.
