Spiranac set for a grand 'final'

Classy mare Spiranac will give Kooringal Stud plenty to cheer about in $500,000 Country Championship final (1400m) at Randwick on Saturday (April 10).

The daughter of Magic Albert heads into the event as an $8.50 chance following her strong win in the $150,000 Championship qualifier at Tamworth early last month.

Spiranac is from Kooringal's proven producer Makemeasupermodel, who is also the dam of the prolific winners Kookabaa and Hot Sock.

Makemeasupermodel is in foal to Kooringal's dual Group 1 winning stallion Prized Icon.

Spiranac has built an imposing record for Scone trainer Rodney Northam, winning five of her 11 starts.
