Quality Kooringal yearlings to go on offer online

Nardoo could hardly have created a bigger impression when introduced to the racetrack and now her son is set to follow suit at auction.

The colt by exciting young sire Impending is included in Kooringal Stud’s exclusive yearling draft to be offered at the Inglis Digital Online Sale from December 11 to 16.

For the first time ever, Kooringal will sell its yearlings entirely online in an unreserved one and only draft - instead of attending the sales in early 2021.

Nardoo stamped her class from the day she made her debut when winning by more than six lengths over 1110 metres at Doomben.

The daughter of former Kooringal stallion Krupt went on to record four wins up to 1200 metres in just a 13-start career.

Nardoo is a half-sister to the stakesplaced Architect and her second dam Belle Genius was the joint third top filly on the 1994 European 2yo Classification with a Group 1 win in the Curragh Moyglare Stud Stakes to her name.

Impending was a dual Group 1 winner of the Stradbroke Hcp and Kingsford-Smith Cup, tallying more than $2.4 million prizemoney in the process.

The Lonhro stallion’s oldest progeny are yearlings.

Kooringal will offer 21 quality youngsters at the sale.

“Buyers will have an outstanding list of yearlings to choose from – by a variety of first-class stallions,” Kooringal Stud’s Angus Lamont said.

“It is a bit of an unknown as to how it will go but the horses are all well grown, nice yearlings who have all passed a scope and haven’t had any issues.

"Kooringal have developed a reputation for producing tough, sound racehorses for many years and I’m sure this crop will be no different.

“Inglis Digital provides an excellent platform for vendors and is proving extremely popular with buyers.

"Being unreserved will give buyers confidence to bid and opens it up to a wider buying bench in what are still somewhat uncertain times”.

Colts and fillies by proven sires Duporth, Magic Albert and Epaulette as well as the exciting young stallions Impending, Super One and The Brothers War are included in the line-up.

Duporth will be represented by a colt from the multiple metropolitan winner Ingham Magic.

Ingham Magic (pictured) notched three Sydney wins from 1100m to 1200m for almost $200,000 in stakes.

Significantly, Ingham Magic’s only foal to race Stryke Rock has accrued almost as much prizemoney from his five city wins.

Ingham Magic’s filly by Nicconi was knocked down for $180,000 at the 2019 Melbourne Premier Sales and is now in the stable of Henry Dwyer.

Super One has a daughter in the sale from the outstanding producer Makemeasupermodel.

Classy sprinter Kookabaa and the promising Spiranac have continued a golden run for Makemeasupermodel with a combined seven wins from their past 11 outings.

Makemeasupermodal, a daughter of the Group 1 placed Rouquin, has a perfect strike-rate with her five foals to race.

Magic Albert has a superbly bred filly in the sale from the juvenile winning Red Ransom mare Hewayaat.

Hewayaat’s first three foals to race have all been successful, including the four-time winner My Certain.

The filly is bred on the same cross as the stakeswinners Alberto Magic and Ron’s Call.

Close relations to Group 1 winners Juanmo (QTC T J Smith Classic and Sires Produce), Rockabubble (NZ Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes), Chlorophyll (STC Coolmore Classic), Anthems (QTC Sires Produce), Mirjulisa Lass (ATC Vinery Stud) and Bawalaksana (ARC Railway) feature in the draft.
