Welcome to the website of Kooringal Stud, a family-run thoroughbred operation that celebrated its Centenary Year in 2010.
The property comprises an area of 1000 hectares (2500 acres) and has been in the care of the Lamont family since 1910.
Kooringal Stud has excellent facilities with forty doubled fenced paddocks surrounded by some 40,000 trees. Each paddock has an adjacent yard and is linked to five main sets of yards by a system of laneways, which enables the safe movement of all horses. The paddocks vary in size from two hectares to 60 hectares and are regularly sown down to pastures of Lucerne, Clover and Phalaris.
Kooringal Stud is managed by the Lamont family and is very fortunate to have a band of experienced and dedicated staff members to assist with the management and day-to-day running of the Stud. |
