Strong weekend for resident sires

Kooringal stallions had a successful weekend with home bred and reared horses first past the post once again.

Zariz continues his successful start to the season with conisistent race horse Riziz beating hot favourite Alpine Eagle by 1.2 lengths in Saturday's Listed Penny Edition Stakes at Morphettville, taking his record to 12 wins including 6 stakes wins and 7 stakes places from 37 starts and just shy of $800,000 in prizemoney.  Stakes placed Krupt gelding Cashed had another successful metropolitan win on Saturday taking out the Benchmark 75 over 1000m by a convincing 2.4 lengths on a soft 6, proving he is handy in a range of track conditions, bringing his record to 3 wins and 8 seconds from only 16 starts.  Alert was represented by Lord Boulevard (bred, owned and raced by Murray Livestock), who raced at Nowra on Sunday 23rd when he started as the favourite and claimed his maiden victory on only his third start, winning by a comfortable 1.5 lengths.
