The announcement of a NEW STALLION is always exciting
news
Stuart and Penny Lamont of Kooringal Stud are importing
a brilliant young Argentinean horse named ALERT.
He'll arrive at Kooringal in February 2007.
ALERT
was quick - very quick !! After winning a Group One
Stakes for 2yo's over 1000m in 55.2, he added a
Group Three Stakes and two handicaps that season, and
finished his career with five wins and two black type
seconds from 16 starts.
By the Champion Argentinean Sire - Southern Halo,
who has over 150 Stakeswinners worldwide, and is the
Broodmare Sire of nearly 70 Stakeswinners already. A son
of HALO, the sire of Sunday Silence and
Saint Ballado. The Danehill / Halo cross has
at least half a dozen Group One winners in Australia
already.
SOUTHERN HALO
has just been added to the QUALITY category of the BREED
SHAPING STALLIONS list - founded by Jack Werk, the
influential American Pedigree consultant. A high
honour!
Two year old Group One winner SENOR PETE is the
damsire of ALERT. He's a very close relation to
AFFIRMED, Hall Of Fame Champion and USA Triple Crown
winner. Senor Pete is also the Damsire of Batallosa,
2006 Champion 3yo filly in Argentina.
ALERT
hails from the same proven Stallion family of
KENMARE.
This female family is highly compatible with all the
dominant bloodlines found in Australia and New Zealand.
He has six very successful Sire sons producing Group and
Classic winners
ALERT'S
female family is loaded with Group winners - the Gr1
Stakeswinners include Newmarket, Numeraria, Numeradora,
Real Number and Forty Licks.
Stuart has paid careful attention to ensure ALERT'S
pedigree is full of bloodlines that are compatible in
these parts. This research means that ALERT'S foals will
all have a very high figure of gender balanced
duplications. Northern Dancer, Buckpasser, Crafty
Admiral, Bold Ruler, Phalaris, Green Dancer, Bull
Dog, Bull Lea, Sir Gallahad III, Menow, Mahoud,
Hyperion, Blue Larkspur, Gainsborough, Selene, Man o'War,
War Admiral and Native Dancer will always be gender
balanced if they are duplicated in the offspring - this
