The Lamont family and Kooringal Stud staff invite visitors to attend our Open Day and Stallion Parade on Sunday 13th September 2015. The day will commence with the stallion parade at 11am, showcasing for the first time, newest stallion to join the ranks The Brothers War (USA), a stakes winning son of War Front who is standing his first season at stud.
The Brothers War will parade alongside Kooringal's other resident sires Alert (ARG), whose most notable progeny include recent international Group and Listed winner POWER ALERT; Zariz who is currently rangked amonsgt the top 20 on the leading sires list and produced recent Group 3 Auries Star and Group 3 Concorde Stakes winner Shiraz, and Listed Penny Edition winner Riziz; Krupt whose small first crop includes stakes placed Cashed and Trupt; and Shrapnel who is Charge Forward's best performed sire son and is producing outstanding types with wonderful temperaments and are just two years old, many just commencing their first race preparations.
The Open Day will also showcase some new foals and there will be an opportunity to join a guided tour of the stud and its facilities including the foaling unit, historic stallion barn, covered handling yards and of course broodmares and young stock.
