Kooringal Stud Open Day 2016

Open Day Wrap

It was wet but that did not dampen the spirits of many as Kooringal once again opened the gates for the annual Stud Open Day.

With umbrellas in hand and gumboots on, the Stallion and the mare and foal parade went along as per usual in the garden.

The Brothers War gained plenty of admirers on the day with the way he has let down so nicely heading into his second season. He has a number of very impressive foals on the ground and he is certainly throwing a great type, very much in the mould of his sire War Front.

While Krupt, Zariz and Magic Albert continue to have a strong influence on the track with a number of great winners recently.

We also welcomed the owners of Magic Albert, Dennis and Marie Wilton to their first Open Day.

From the parade, guests made their way to the main stables and in drier conditions enjoyed drinks and a barbeque while listening to insight from Peter Heagney.

Very well known in the thoroughbred industry, Peter Heagney is one of the most highly regarded bloodstock agents and auctioneers in the country.
Peter has been Victorian Manager of Inglis for over 20 years and it was fantastic to hear about Peter’s background and his thoughts on the current climate of the industry in Australia.

We would like take this opportunity to thank everyone who made the effort to come to Kooringal on Sunday. The Lamont Family and Kooringal Stud Staff appreciate your efforts and continued support.
